Quick Dry Skin Fixes with these Affordable Holy Grail Products

Hi you guys! Anyone else dealing with “after winter” dry skin? Not quite ready for shorts yet, right? Today, I’m going to show you what I use (actually, my mom & sis use these too), something we’ve always used. Our Holy Grail skin care products from Walgreens.

I don’t think I’ve ever told you that my family and I immigrated to the States when I was around 11, and how poor we really were. We were so poor that I went to school(middle-high) without having to pay for school lunch because we were on welfare. It was an embarrassing time for me, even now to admit it, but it taught me a lot about hard work, fighting for the things I want, being grateful for everything I have now, AND what’s good that’s affordable! haha…

And you know what guys, now that I am able to afford the better things in life, I STILL prefer these to the more high-end products. I might go off and “try” new things, but I always go right back to these when I get bored because they’re SO amazing- they’re timeless skincare goodies! I’m so happy I’m able to share these with you!

Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion. I remember the yellow bottle they used to come in, but I much prefer how they apply now because this new version will make your legs GLOW like a diamond.

I hated the scent back then (and my mom used to slap these all over my face before school ugh, so I had to smell it all day long -yuck), but my family always used it, because it was the best. But thank God almighty, this improved version is “unscented”, and they absorb into the skin a lot faster. Girl, back then you had to rub this in for 30 minutes before you could see your skin again, now it’s literally instant! Did you try this back then, remember?

Vaseline Advance Repair – Healing Moisture Lotion is non-greasy but will make your legs have that “Glow within” look. I love it SO much because it’s incredibly affordable, and it makes my legs look so silky smooth!

For dry flaky skin for your face, I ALWAYS recommend switching to an oil cleansing method, as it’s more gentle for your skin.

I usually don’t use a face wipe, but I picked these –Simple micellar face wipes – to try out because everyone was raving about them, it’s actually Walgreens “Fan Favorites.” And since Walgreen is having a month-long sale on Simple, Pond’s and Vaseline Hand and Body Lotion, I thought I’d try it out. I did like these wipes, but it’s not my holy grail product, so I’ll use these when I’m feeling lazy. Simple Micellar face wipes removed my makeup and kept my skin clean without that dry skin feeling. However, if you use Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser (below), you won’t need anything extra, as it’ll remove-literally melt off all your makeup! Even the toughest waterproof makeup will be gone!

This is our holy grail product. I’ve been sending my mom “new” face oils to try throughout the years (because I am now able to buy her more expensive things), but she always go back to this lol. My mom and I love the fact that with Pond’s Cold Cream, you don’t need an extra lotion after using it, you don’t have to wash your face again with soap – All you need is this 1 product, because everything will come off!

You heard me right. You apply this all over your face… give yourself a 10sec face massage, then wipe it off. You won’t “need” a separate toner to remove this and that, a face cream because your skin feels tight. After using this product, your face will feel baby soft and your face will glow in the morning!

Also, this cream will not clog your pores or cause breakouts – we’ve used it for years and years. I highly recommend it!
