Happy 2018, fam!
When I posted a poll on our YouTube channel last week asking what content you guys wanted to see more of this new year, a whopping 65% of you said, do more Easy, Lazy Hairstyles for everyday in 2018!
And I get it, no one has time to spend an hour or more getting ready in the morning. So today, I’m going to show you how to do an elegant, 2-minute fancy ponytail for work, and introduce you guys to a terrific line of affordable shampoo & conditioner for dry, frizzy hair, because when your hair lookssmooth and healthy, every hairstyle looks good on you.
Sam’s Club invited me to check out their Personal Care section for their Step Up Your Style campaign created for busy moms/girls, so I could tell you guys all about it!
Sam’s Club offers groceries and everything else at a low, wholesale price (which is so helpful right after the holidays – aren’t we all broke 😀 ?), and with this new, Step Up Your Style event, they’re adding more and better beauty products to their Personal Care aisle, so you can do all your shopping in 1 place.
Next time you want to try out a fresh hair or a fresh skin care routine, explore this aisle or go to SamsClub.com for future product refreshes and content updates!
I’ve been using Dove face soaps after my oil cleansing routine for more than 10+ years. I swear, it’s MY beauty secret, no expensive soap needed to keep your skin clear and hydrated!
Oddly enough though, I never tried their shampoos or conditioners, so I picked these up during my last visit, and I was really pleasantly surprised.
Is a lightweight hydrating hair care for dry hair (drugstore priced).
It contains Nutritive Serum to lock in essential moisture, so your hair remains frizz-free throughout the day (worked).
It’s surprisingly lightweight (it was) considering it’s a deeply hydrating formula.
Scent: it did not smell like coconuts to me, it smelled like a normal shampoo. Lovely, but you should know.
If you tried out my last few drugstore recommendations on this blog, then you’ll love this line as well. It’s REALLY A-MAZING! Truly.
It made my hair look good when I did nothing to it, and you KNOW that’s a GREAT sign, you’ll definitely notice a difference in your hair from your very first wash. It’ll feel silkier, look shinier, and much less frizzy.
The first time I shampooed my hair, and I noticed how CLEAN my hair felt, I worried that the shampoo was going to be too clarifying for my long hair, because normally, clarifying shampoos = poofy, frizzy hair. Since they remove all build ups on the hair to create lots of volume for thin hair.
But don’t worry, when your hair dries, you’re left with clean hair that’s FULL and hydrated!
I’m still amazed that it gave me so much body without making my hair frizzy. If you have thin, dry, frizzy hair, you know what I mean, right? Go check this out!
Running Late Elegant Pony
Hair Tutorial for Medium or Long Hair
Prep: Use Dry shampoo to create texture and to make hairstyling easier to DIY.
1. Topytail your crown section to create a voluminous poof without teasing your hair. Pull out the twists to make it fuller.
2. Section out your side hair, then put the back section into a Low Ponytail.
3. Wrap the side sections around the ponytail one by one, and tuck it into the hair elastic.
4. Finish by hairspraying the hair in place and adjusting random strands of hair with a few bobby pins.
If you didnt understand this tutorial, let me know and I’ll incorporate it into one of my future YouTube videos for you!
See you guys soon! *hugs tight* x Tina
