HOW TO DO A PULL-THROUGH CROWN BRAID UPDO ON YOURSELF
SKILL LEVEL: easy || TIME: 10 Minutes || OCCASIONS: back to school, spring, summer, fall, winter, everyday, prom, homecoming, wedding
|| FOR: Medium, Long Hair Lengths
Step 1– Take all hair to one side and make a ponytail near your ear and then clip it back.
Step 2- Grab another section of hair and make it the size as the first one you did and make another ponytail.
Step 3- Then undo the clip on the first ponytail and split in half. Pull the second pony tail up into the little opening on the first ponytail. Clip it out of the way like you did the first ponytail.
Step 4– Start adding in hair before making another ponytail; incorporate some hair from the top and tie it with a rubber band.
Step 5– Undo the clip on the previous ponytail and split it in half so you can pull the third ponytail through the middle like before and then clip that out of the way.
Step 6– As we are making the braid, we will stop every 3rd or 4th pony tail pulling out the edges to make the braid thicker. For this style, don’t wait until the end otherwise you’ll end up with a mess.
Step 7– Undo the clip and pull the ponytail in half so you can pull the ponytail in through the opening and clip it out of the way again.
Step 8– Continue doing the same steps over and over until you reach the other side.
Step 9– To finish, we want to tuck the remaining piece under our first ponytail and pin into place.
Extra Tip: If you have layers, what you want to do is just bobby pin the fly away hairs into place.
